Nutcase Helmets | Product Design
From 2015-2017 I was the product graphic designer at Nutcase Helmets in Portland, Oregon, where I had the opportunity to create all of the graphics and illustrations for their 2017 and 2018 bicycle helmet and accessory lines. This was my first experience working with product, and it fundamentally changed the way I approach design. As the only product graphic designer, I worked with the Product Manager to come up with the design themes we wanted to pursue for the year. I then created mood boards, designed templates, made the art files, and worked with the factories until the samples were correct. I was responsible for ensuring that the positioning, colors and materials were all what we intended. I could often be found with a Pantone book pressed against a helmet, saying something along the lines of, “does this blue look a little too...blue?
